Famed French artist, Willy William and his record label, Scorpio Music, made history at the MTV Video Music Awards as the night presented many firsts. Willy’s track with J Balvin, “Mi Gente” was awarded the “Best Latin Video”; a new category that was introduced this year. The event also marked the first time that an independent French family owned record label was behind a song and video clip that won a Moonman.
“Mi Gente” quickly became an international sensation after it’s released in 2017. The music video, produced by Scorpio Music, amassed over 1.9 billion views on Youtube alone, while the record charted in almost every country in the world.
