Making a more than impressive return at Spinnin’ Records, Dutch DJ/producer Voost teams up with UK singer-songwriter Leo Wood for the beautifully melancholic single “Someone.”

Taking off on the latter’s moody and overwhelming vocals, Leo Wood sets the scene for a warm, classic house vibe, courtesy of Voost’ trademark production sound. As the song gains momentum with its warm bass lines and sultry beats, the vocal lines explode into a belting hook that drives the almost painful need for love and connection.

The high notes of the hook, emotionally exclaiming ‘I need to feel your love’ charge this bassy dance floor production with a force that’s powerfully honest and soulful. Add to this a series of strong breakbeat intermezzos, and you’ve got a tune that’s got club and radio appeal written all over it.

Voost nicely follows up here on his signature UK House sound, having already dropped several club favorites, from 2019’s claim to fame tune “Come With Me” to last year’s smash “But U” (alongside Parx, featuring Izzy Bizu) the Dutchman has scored widespread DJ support and millions of streams by now.

Same goes for Leo Wood, who’s consistently been hitting with high streaming releases on labels like Anjuna Deep, Defected, Hospital records, Crosstown Rebels, Liquicity, Shogun Audio, and Insomniac. “Someone” marks an exciting new step for both artists, exploring a fresh and touching sound, ready to conquer the world as the record is out now on Spinnin’ Records.
