Ever since his first hit back in 2007, remixing Gregor Salto’s ‘Bouncing Harbour’, Matt has been a part of the growing house scene, delivering everything from techy electro bangers to future house bliss and providing quality music with room for experimentation and genre twisting. He’s released music on Tiesto’s Musical Freedom, Diplo’s Mad Decent, A-Trak’s Fool’s Gold, Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak and his very own Fjordin label, launched in 2010, while also doing remixes and singles on major labels such as Sony, Warner and Universal.
Last year, Matt released several hit singles, including the future house bomb ‘Aero’ (featuring Chris Lie) on Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak. 2017 started in another direction, with the stunning deep house track ‘Phoenix’ delivering tender chords and sweet retro house vibes, perfecting Funkin Matt’s trademark sound.
And now, the Norwegian maestro returns with ‘Aurora’, a spacious piece of house music, working up hypnotic chords and vocal snippets alongside energetic drum patterns and overwhelming sound scapes.
