For the third year in a row, Dutch festival organization DGTL, Amsterdam Dance Event and Tech & Dance Collective are partnering up to organize the annual ADE Hackathon. This year the event will take place right next to the centrally located Leidseplein and will once again focus on boosting innovation in relevant topics for the music and festival industry. A total of 100 participants, consisting of designers, developers, entrepreneurs and other creative minds, will join forces and within the demanding timespan of 24 hours think about the challenges that are faced by the dance music scene and the opportunities that data and technology can provide.

The topics of the hackathon range from the “Celebration of 30 years of Dutch dance music” to “Copyright, music licensing & compensation” and “Sustainability”, in which DGTL continuously strives to take on a leading role. Participants will work on new concepts in teams alongside experts, who will in turn help validate their ideas. The teams will compete to win the main prize; a weekend at DGTL Festival Barcelona, including flights, hotel and backstage passes. After a solid 24 hours, participants have time to take some rest and get ready for the grand finale on Saturday night where the Hackathon will come to an end at the sold out DGTL x Bonobo presents Outlier.
