Returning to their 2020 breakthrough hit “Somebody’s Watching Me” in the most earth shattering style, widely acclaimed Dutch duo 71 Digits has teamed up with Italian phenomenon THNDERZ for a powerful hypertechno rendition of that classic tune. This time, the gloves come off, as the guys let the original’s melody and vocal lines dive into strong, contemporary rave sounds, dominated by uptempo kicks and blistering synth stabs. What a gust of hard dance energy to close off the year, seeing THNDERZ take the famed 71 Digits house sound to a whole other level – out now on Spinnin’ Records.

Emerging as one of Holland’s most exciting house acts in recent years, 71 Digits has been going strong with club gems like last year’s “LOW” (with Flo Rida), “Three Little Birds” (alongside Timmy Trumpet and Prezioso) and their remix of Hi_Tack’s “Say Say Say (Waiting 4 U)” (with Steff Da Campo).

Call it a swift triumphal path, kicked off in 2020, with the release of “Somebody’s Watching Me.” This collab with Chico Rose saw the guys use vocal lines from Rockwell’s eponymous 80’s hit, featuring none other than Michael Jackson on the world famous chorus, resulting in a club smash racking up over 135 million Spotify streams, and appearing in various remixes that turned into hits on their own account.

Now, the song is revamped to a next level, as 71 Digits joins forces with Italian DJ/producer THNDERZ. He’s coming up like crazy these days, with his fresh mix of hard dance, psy and stutter techno blasting away a new generation of ravers.

Following a steady stream of popular tunes, he had his defining moment earlier this year with his Ravetok Remix of Taio Cruz’ hit “Hangover,” initially making waves on TikTok, followed by huge DJ and streaming support, amassing 15 million streams in 11 months, now still going strong on Spotify as a collab with Bloodlyne and Carlprit.

“Somebody’s Watching Me” proves THNDERZ is only gaining more impact. Originally a pumped up yet smooth house groove, this new version quickly sets off in blazing hard dance vibes. Pitched up and drenched in spacious effects, the vocals are overwhelming from the first seconds, preparing you for a massive drop with rough, punchy kicks and freaked out sound effects.

As the song breaks down, vocoder effects cause an estranged atmosphere, paving the road for yet another round of hypertechno madness, this time emphasized by swirling, hardstyle synths taking the famous chorus line into festival heaven. 71 Digits and THNDERZ are aiming for nothing but raw dance floor energy here. It’s all about the drop, taking you straight into a new dimension of rave music currently blasting its way across clubs and festivals. And yeah, this one’s a peaktime monster, destined to become a genre-defining tune for those next generation ravers out there.
