Reviving their fruitful collab six years to date, Dutch dance phenomenon Mesto has joined forces with UK hot shot Curbi again. Enjoying a wave of “Nostalgia” together, the guys unleash thrilling drums and twisted bass chords to create a raw, action packed festival weapon, ready to work  crowds into a sweat. Two companions, coming from one highly effective generation, now employing their years of expertise to set the floor on fire, that’s “Nostalgia” for you, out now on Spinnin’ Records.

Both Mesto and Curbi have enjoyed a massive rise to fame these last years. Part of the same Spinnin’ generation that started to make waves in the mid 10’s, they each followed their own path and sound, resulting in a string of festival hits, either solo or teaming up with some of the biggest artists out there. Mesto created powerful dance hits alongside Tiësto, Martin Garrix, Oliver Heldens and Mike Williams, racking up tens of millions of streams, but also delivered tasteful, pop tinged singles, including 2019’s “Don’t Worry,” featuring the unique vocals of Aloe Blacc. Following last year’s smash “Limitless” together with good friend Martin Garrix, he recently also joined forces with Aloe Blacc again, releasing the marvelous, introspective song “Better Days” to critical acclaim.

Curbi, on his turn, became an instant tastemaker when he catapulted himself into the spotlight with 2015’s debut single “Discharge,” followed by countless hit records like 2019’s “Spiritual,” 2021’s “Vertigo” and last year’s smash “Flying.” In the meantime, Curbi brought his gritty yet catchy production sound to collabs with the likes of Tchami, Zedd, AC Slater, Lucas & Steve, Quintino and many more, while earlier this year he also dropped the first solo releases on his own Seeing Is Believing label.

Amidst all these milestones, Mesto and Curbi also did a resounding collab back in 2017, releasing the high energy festival hit “BRUH,” resulting in widespread DJ support from the likes of Tiësto, David Guetta, Avicii, Martin Garrix, Hardwell, Afrojack and many more. Now, six years later, these age and music companions have struck another partnership, enjoying a bit of “Nostalgia” on a series of thrilling beats, grand chords and dark, twisted bass sounds.

Built upon a mystic soundscape, the song gains strength when furious drums take over, accompanied by ominous synths, huge and overwhelming, impressively accentuating an incredible crescendo. When the beat drops, you’ll feel the energy Mesto and Curbi are renowned for, emphasized by a raw bass, crushed in sound effects, while a relentless beat gets the blood pumping even harder.

This is high energy festival madness, just like they delivered in their early “BRUH” days, now taken next level by their seasoned production skills. Mesto x Curbi proves a highly effective team once again, marking “Nostalgia” as its newest highpoint, a track that’s bound to work this season’s festival crowds into a sweat. Early DJ support is promising, including plays by Tiësto, Oliver Heldens, Timmy Trumpet, Mike Williams and Lucas & Steve, making anticipation for this official release even higher.
