Vancouver based producer Miles Away returns to our radar with another epic production called “Two Halves Of A Heart”, just in time to become a fresh and easy listening summer antherm

“Two Halves Of A Heart” can be easily described as dance/pop hybrid, with some future bass influences and amazing vocals that are sending a powerful message.

The vocals are backed up by sweet piano chords and atmospheric plucks and pads on the break part, while the drop features energetic guitars and solid drums. The energy of the whole tune is further supported with well-placed subtle percussive elements all throughout the track. Another positive thing about this tune comes actually from it’s complexity and variation, from the groove part till the instruments used.

Miles Away tells us about the creation of the single:
“Every single person has had at least one moment in their lives where something in you changes, and you realize that you no longer are in love anymore with something or someone that was once all you ever cared about. Whether that’s a career, a partner, a best friend, or even the place you live, we all know this feeling.”, says Belanger, when asked about what made him choose to create the single around this theme. “It is about learning to look inward and realize that it’s ok that people change. But it’s also about studying that process and why it is sometimes so hard to accept that we need to move on. For me, this is something I have struggled with for the last several years: I was no longer happy where I was in my life and I knew that it wasn’t where I was supposed to be, but I couldn’t bring myself to move on. I would constantly look outward for things to blame for my unhappiness, yet nothing changed. It took me years, but I was finally able to look inward and accept that it was OK that I wasn’t happy anymore, and that it was time to move on. That’s why this EP is the last ever Miles Away EDM release. It’s my goodbye to all of you who’ve listened; I thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for all of the years of Miles Away releases. I truly hope you enjoy this EP, as I think it’s the best work I’ve ever done.”
