Potently combing a slew of different styles and flavors into one high-energy packing, “Aliens” is the sound of contemporary electronic music at its most vibrant. It begins life with uplifting trancey energy, played out through distorted synth chords that tease and swell before a thumping hip-hop kick and clap pattern slams into play. Thick bass underpins the now triumphant synths as the energy rises further and a massive build takes us to the drop where the infectious lead riff is played out by a multitude of colorful sounds in tandem.
And just when you think it’s all over, the beat switches to a stripped-back drum & bass rhythm, lifting the track up higher still. Constantly shifting and morphing, it’s a track that keeps you guessing, showing that Ravitez is a truly innovative force in the studio.
