Buku may make some epically hard bass music, but it turns out he has an impressively soft heart; his newest release “Comic Boy” is named after a young fan’s earnest request. “This kid brought me so much joy when he reached out. His love for music seemed so pure, and I felt it was reminiscent of me,” says Buku of the letter he received, which was accompanied by a hand drawn comic featuring the producer. “I had the opportunity to light up someone’s life, so I felt compelled to honor this young man’s wishes.”

The new track will certainly not disappoint Buku‘s army of basshead fans-it is a supersonic, machine-inspired journey that, true to its name, will make listeners feel as though they’ve been transported into a video game to battle robotic villains. “Comic Boy” comes after Buku‘s latest “Ready 4,” and adds some heavy arsenal as well as goodwill creds to the Pittsburgh-based DJ‘s repertoire.
