We’re only a few months into 2017, and one young talent who is constantly in the headlines is one of Australia’s finest exports – WILL K! He’s been making big waves via collabs with Corey James, Thomas Newson and Sebjak, and this gained him support from most of the big names in the music industry! Furthermore, his consistent quality earned him a spot in an elite club of artists who can boast having TWO tracks in the Beatport top 10 at the same time! If that’s not enough, he’s also scheduled to release on Refune Records too! Now, WILL K has also curated for us a playlist of tracks he’s currently digging!

Check them out below and let us know which ones are also your favorites!

WILL K & Sebjak – Kumasi [NoFace Records] – I started to speak with Seb a lot and we sent ideas back and forth to each other all the time. He sent me a break idea he was working on and I loved the feel of it. It reminded me of his track “GODS” with Steve Angello and AN21. So I pitched his whole break to a drop I was writing, it has this cool vocal loop and some nice drums in the back. Not long after we finished the track, Steve premiered it on BBC Radio 1, so we knew working together was a good thing!

Watermat Feat. Kelli-Leigh – Won’t Stop [Spinnin’ Deep] – My perfect summer track. I actually heard this when I was in Australia, late night on Triple J radio, and I had no clue who it was but I took a punt and thought it was Watermat. Turns out it is, as a producer that’s always our goal; you want to know who the artist is before knowing for sure!

D.O.D – Satisfy [SIZE Records] – Another dope tune from D.O.D. Loving these Future Jack vibes, such interesting sounds and attention to detail. The breakdown BPM change really works and keeps the energy rolling.

Gary Ponte, Paki – Ocean Whispers (PK Club Mix) [The Dominion] – About a month ago I found my old CDs collection with all my music when I first started DJ’ing house parties. I found the name of this and remembered how I used to always play this track. This vocal sounds like something from the band U2, it’s so emotional and he has such a unique voice. The Sax riff and baseline just flows perfect together.

Slumberjack – Fracture (feat. Vera Blue) [Onelove] – While I was back home a few months ago, this was one track I couldn’t stop listening to with all the boys. You can tell it’s a track Diplo would sign; I think this has everything in it, from an amazing vocal to such an interesting drop and arrangement.

Mastrovita – Invsbl Dreams [DOORN Records] – Simple, but so interesting. The tremolo effect on this lead makes the whole track bounce. Sort of reminds me of the classic Oxia – Domino, but reworked with some new melodies.

Corey James & WILL K – Another Storm (Third Party Unlocked Mix) [Release Records] – I will never forget this track. I remember when Corey sent over the topline melody, and I came back with the chords and we were like damnnnn. A lot of people are asking us if we are going to release the original version, it’s crazy to see how many people actually liked that version. At the moment it sounds a bit outdated, but we could possibly re-work it and do a fresh spin on it!

Dirty South feat. ANIMA! – I Swear [Anjunabeats] – The new direction Dirty South is taking these days is refreshing. Anima’s vocal on this track is stunning, and hearing the mixdown on this sounds very analog. The baseline is nice and warm, while that topline over the top gives this amazing energy.

Skrillex & MUST DIE! – VIPs [OWSLA] – This track is just crazy. I love listening to new tracks and asking myself “What the hell is the sound”, Skrillex never disappoints when it comes to interesting leads/bass. I’d say this is a whistle, but whatever it is, it’s fucking crazy! Still dropping this in my sets today!

Klahr – Humanize [Axtone Records] – Klahr is such a talent! I remember all the mystery surrounding one of Axwell ^ Ingrosso’s intros was revealed to be him, wow! He’s so diverse in his productions; his melodies are so unique, I like how his drums are always tight, and his fills are always interesting too.
