Ever since being released, The Chainsmokers’ “Closer” has dominated charts and radio airwaves all over the world. The single was present in Billboard’s Hot 100 chart for more than a year, but now it looks like it has been manually removed from there, even though it was still at the no.39 in the chart.

This has happened because of a rule from Billboard, where it is stated that a track can be removed from the chart if it places below the top 25 after 52 weeks. But, this isn’t the first track from the guys to receive this treatment, seeing as one of their other hit singles “Don’t Let Me Down” was also removed from the chart after it spent exactly one year there and then it dropped off.
