For years, the Tale Of Us duo has been bringing their incredible sound and production to stages and festivals worldwide. However, with both members spending more time on their solo work lately, fans fear the group may be on the verge of breaking up.
With Anyma completing an incredible end-of-the-year residency at The Sphere in Las Vegas, his attention certainly feels pulled away from his work in Tale Of Us. While the two opened up 2025 by taking the stage at Afterlife Tulum on back-to-back nights, fans have noticed that the body language and energy between Carmine Conte and Matteo Milleri have appeared distant and cold in recent months. Neither member has spoken publicly about any divide amongst the producers, but other industry insiders have noted that the duo’s normal summer schedule, including their residency in Ibiza, does not appear set to move forward in 2025. On Reddit, user u/istonisas chimed in stating, “A guy from Ibiza close to Afterlife and Hï told me that they are focusing more on the musical experience than the visuals. End of Genesys will be the last Afterlife event with the big visual production. Also, they only used the Waiting for the Sign tree visual in Ibiza (the night i went to AF Hi Ibiza) and that was amazing, also they turned off the screens for a long time playing old Afterlife stuff and insane sounds as precovid. Tale Of Us will return to Circoloco DC10 in october and also expect a different set more like the old ones”
These are of course just rumors at this time, but the duo’s energy and lack of scheduled events, including Afterlife Barcelona, an event that normally occurs during Sonar week in June appears not to be taking place in 2025. Although fans are of course curious and dedicated to both Tale Of Us and the Afterlife brand, there is no official announcement regarding the situation at this time. Anyma will no doubt continue to be the focus of Milleri as he just released his latest single alongside Ellie Goulding. At the same time, Conte has been on the road more under his MRAK alias so fans will still be able to witness both producers as they focus on their solo careers.
Until an official announcement is made, fans can continue to speculate but we will of course share any official statement from Tale Of Us or Afterlife that is released.
