If Manse’s previous releases have taught us one thing, it’s that the Swedish DJ/producer’s hard work and innate talent make for first-rate records. As if to prove that statement, Manse partnered with Dutch vocalist Maruja Retana to release ‘Where We Want To Be’, a bedazzling offering that makes even the most polished records feel like cracked asphalt.
Progressive House in its most uplifting form, ‘Where We Want To Be’ is a flawless gem gilded with Maruja Retana’s vocals. Well-rounded and blissful from the get-go, it oozes production skill and passion for music while remaining suited for numerous rounds of hands-in-the-air action at the world’s most prestigious festivals.
Born Michael Hansen, Manse has been honing his skills for close to ten years and has grown into a full-fledged fan favorite along the way. His high-end originals and head-turning remixes for Armin van Buuren. Dash Berlin, Hardwell, Nicky Romero and Thomas Gold compelled the world to take notice and brought him to some of the most acclaimed stages, including Tomorrowland, Creamfields U.K., Ultra and Ushuaïa Ibiza. It may not come as a surprise that Manse adds color to the world of dance music and this new release on Armada Trice only augments the palette.
Since choosing music over a career as a psychologist in the Netherlands, Maruja Retana has been following her heart and living a life full of passion. She has worked with several top producers, DJs and songwriters (e.g. Jef Martens (Will.I.Am, Britney Spears), Jorgen Eloffson (Kelly Clarkson), Paul Oakenfold and Fedde Le Grand) and gained international recognition for her dreamy, yet soulful vocals. Her previous collaborations with Marco V and Basto made her the perfect candidate to feature on ‘Where We Want To Be’ and one can safely say that it’s a match made in heaven.
