Sidney Samson is, without a doubt, one of the founding fathers of the Dutch House movement, which conquered the globe over the past few years. In 2017, after years of touring and producing in the EDM scene, Sidney decided to return to his roots. He recorded an eclectic album, to be released later this year, heavily inspired by dancehall and afrobeats.

‘The Officer’, the first single of this album, is a collab with Grammy winning reggae and dancehall legend Shaggy. The Jamaica born musician, singer and DJ scored a string of hits such as ‘Oh Carolina’, ‘Boombastic’, ‘It Wasn’t Me’ and of course ‘I Need your Love’.

The beats on “The Officer” are so nasty and the vibe is so dangerous that dancing to this tune will get you arrested in no time. Shaggy is putting a stamp on this hit by doing his ever pleasing thing on the mic. He is joined by vocalists Bobso Architect and Hosai, who add even more fire to this tune. Turn on the sirens as this is bound to cause some serious carnage!
