Taking a next step in his recently revamped production sound, acclaimed DJ/producer Sander van Doorn teams up with Belgian phenomenon Robert Falcon to ignite one of dance music’s biggest tunes. “Rapture” sees the guys drop a furious groove, drenched in future rave energy, to accompany the indestructible vocals and melody of the eponymous zeroes hit by iiO, providing Nadia Ali’s voice with the perfect dose of contemporary beats and vintage progressive melancholy. ‘Rapture tastes so sweet’ once again in the hands of these two producers on fire, out now on Spinnin’ Records.

Sander van Doorn is going through a remarkable transformation these days. Known as one of electronic music’s most versatile artists for over twenty years, he’s explored genres like tech house, techno, and progressive, mixing these into his own trademark sound, resulting in countless hits and anthems, from original productions to rougher techno smashes.

Recently, the Dutchman demonstrated yet another side of his productional talent, as he unrolled a radiant future rave sound to critical acclaim, emphasized by his recent FUTURE RAVE release “On A Roll” and the subsequent hits “Let It Drop” and “L’Annonce Des Couleurs.”

“Rapture” follows his 2023 triumphal path, this time conceived out of a collab with Belgian DJ/producer Robert Falcon. Ever since bursting onto the scene with 2016 hit “Raptor” (Quintino edit), he’s continued to be the go-to name for hot, upwinding house music, culminating these last years in some of the biggest tunes to date, including Fedde Le Grand collab “Heaven” (feat. Sofia Quinn), “Forget You” (with Yves V and Jimmy Clash) and 2023 hardstyle highlight “All Of The Lights” (together with Coone).

Safe to say, these guys know how to rock a crowd. “Rapture” showcases their respective talents like no other, as the smooth vocal hooks of the 2001 original are nicely dipped in a fresh, future rave guise. Singer/songwriter Nadia Ali (originally part of iiO) sounds as lively as she did back in the day, as well as the warm melodies, this time brought to a cooking point with Sander van Doorn and Robert Falcon pushing the tempo and unleashing a series of vigorous, rolling beats.

While setting off such an uptempo rhythm, the song gains strength and a whole new, 2023 character, going into overdrive when the guys lay out some mesmerizing pads, dropping into a spacious synth melody, turning this tune into a whole new anthem of its own.  It’s a “Rapture” to get lost in, courtesy of two producers who perfectly feel how to blend the warmth of oldschool trance and progressive with the energy of contemporary house and future rave. Effectively, this revamp emphasizes this classic tune couldn’t have landed in more capable hands. Already supported by a wide range of DJ’s, including Armin van Buuren, Mike Williams, Timmy Trumpet and W&W, the excitement now continues as it’s officially out on Spinnin’ Records.
