Still going strong on this year’s acclaimed Timmy Trumpet collab “Tonight,” masked DJ/production entity POLTERGST emerges again with the resounding follow-up single “Move It.” Released under his recently signed deal with Spinnin’ Records, this is the German artist’ first official tune on Spinnin’s main label, seeing the ghost-like image deliver an incredible, bass-heavy rendition of dance classic “I Like To Move It” by Reel To Real. With its uptempo techno beats, twisting psytrance hooks and ominous vocals, this is a version you won’t easily forget – an instant anthem by one of the freshest spirits in the game – out now on Spinnin’ Records.

Taking into account POLTERGST came to life in 2021, he’s been making impressive moves so far. He’s released tracks together with Dario Rodriguez, Toxic Joy and DJ Kuba & Neitan, and had songs out on several big labels such as Fedde Le Grand’s Darklight Records, KSHMR imprint Dharma and Blasterjaxx label Maxximize – all marked by a fresh, unique and definitely harder take on contemporary electronic music.

This year saw him reach his biggest milestone so far, teaming up with none other than Timmy Trumpet for the smash tune “Tonight,” counting millions of streams, following DJ support by the biggest names out there, including Afrojack, Alok, Steve Aoki, LUM!X, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Blasterjaxx and more.

Meanwhile, the POLTERGST stage performance also raised attention. The ghost-masked figure  that’s currently rocking clubs and festivals with his characteristic in-your-face sound added more mystery to the artist – leading to a promising deal with Spinnin’ Records that only caused more anticipation for his next move.

Now, it’s here, as POLTERGST releases his aptly titled new single “Move It.” Built upon a firm, uptempo techno groove, heavy on raw, pulsating bass chords and furious percussion, the song opens up on a melody taken from Reel To Real’s 90’s house classic “I Like To Move It.” In this guise, the chords are taken to the dark side, played with a rugged bass while emphasized by mean, sharp synth stabs.

With rumbling drums causing a powerful crescendo, the song drops overwhelmingly hard, moving further into top gear with a series of massive acid bleeps, going into overdrive on those incredible uptempo beats. The vocals, on their turn, create further mayhem. While originally coming from a mellow house tune, in this setting they sound like coming from the upside-down, perfectly exclaiming the dark vibe of this undeniable DJ weapon. POLTERGST proves his talent once again, letting “Move It” speak volumes on his intentions. He’s here to rock the crowd with a fierce new sound and appearance, ready to further conquer the world under the wings of Spinnin’ Records. “Move It” is nothing less than a big bang, leaving the crowd defenseless for this undeniable phantom currently haunting the scene.
