The leading electronic music festivals are united in providing an incomparable live experience for their audiences. The high-energy performances by star DJs combined with perfectly orchestrated light, laser and pyro shows in exotic settings are a fireworks show for all the senses. This mix also makes them especially attractive for streaming formats.
Parookaville is now set to be the first outstanding electronic music festival ever that can also be experienced live on TikTok. Following a two-year break, when over 200,000 Parookaville citizens gather once again on July 22nd to the 24th at the stylishly rocked-out festival city in Germany’s Lower Rhine region, this new collaboration will allow the global TikTok community to experience the thrill and vibes of the festival live for seven hours each festival day. With the unique Parookaville festival city featuring its own City Hall and entry
stamps, a church carrying out real weddings, tattoo artists and an open-air swimming pool, Parookaville has gained a reputation throughout Europe in just a few short years. In addition, there will be over 300 international DJs on more than 10 stages.
Now Germany’s largest electronic music festival will also be presented on TikTok with an exclusively produced show in TikTok’s signature vertical 9:16 video format. The centerpiece will be the live sets by global star DJs including Armin van Buuren, Steve Aoki, Robin Schulz and many more. The stream will also bring users right into life at the festival with a bounty of ‚madness, love and pure happiness’ and rounded out with exclusive interviews and behindthe-scenes peeks into the backstage area.
Michael Kümmerle, Head of Music Operations, Germany, Austria & Switzerland at TikTok: “For several years now, electronic music has contributed to the significant success of our platform. The hashtag #ElectronicMusic has over two billion views on TikTok. We see the genre being celebrated by the community on a daily basis. The Parookaville Festival delivers fans many of their stars from diverse subgenres like EDM, Techno or House on more than ten stages. We’re looking forward to bringing this unique mix of music festival and entertainment content to life on the platform.”
