NYC—based Colombian producer, singer-songwriter, and sound engineer Otto Botté is unleashing his vibrant new single, “Dancing Company,” featuring Emma Claye today. The song arrives with a Pablo Morelo-directed lyric video and news the rising artist will release his debut EP, Dancing Company Vol. I, in July 2021. Stream/Watch HERE.

With “Dancing Company,” the multi-talented artist once again demonstrates his ability to excitingly infuse traditional Colombian roots music and Latin pop with elements of house music. Dance influences he’s absorbed from a decade of immersing himself in NYC’s nightlife and music scene.

On the title offering of his forthcoming debut EP, Botté delivers a genredefying track about passionate nights on the dancefloor while highlighting Emma’s dreamy vocals with an extravagant palette of live instrumentation and vibrant house-leaning synths.

Sharing on the new single, Otto says: “There’s a significant line that says ‘I feel you watching me like if I got no clothes on’ and this takes place on the dance floor, by myself doing my thing, feeling watched by somebody else, desired, and vulnerable, yet comfortable in my skin. This thought immediately made me draw a parallel in my relationship with Jesus and how comfortable I can be when I feel naked or messup, when I dance or sing, just being my true self before God, knowing that he looks over and meets me no matter how lonely or fulfilled I may feel. It’s so refreshing to feel his presence in my life day in and day out, in and outside of music, on and off the dance floor.”

“This song has freed me to express my unfiltered version,” continues Otto, “through flirtiness and sensuality looking to portray the beauty in human connection, whether it’s instant and led by sounds or when it’s intimate and sensed through smells. I see God reflected in our ability to connect with each other in community.”

Otto Botté’s first single of the year arrives with news the emerging artist will unveil his 5-track debut EP, Dancing Company, Vol. I, this summer. The song follows “Humbara,” which recently surpassed 100K global streams, received support from NPR Music’s World Cafe, and was featured on Botté’s DJ mix for LA’s LatinAlt HD3 – in association with iHeart Radio and TuneIn – which took over 88.5FM radio waves every Saturday in February 2021. Botté, who returned to solo music in September 2020 with “En Vela” ft. Nic Hanson, gained support from Acid Stag, Medium, Urban Latino, The Fox Magazine, Kick Kick Snare, and others.
