Just a year after reaching his first milestone of a billion streams on Spotify for In The Name Of Love, as first Dutch artist ever, Martin Garrix can also add his collaboration with Dua Lipa ‘Scared To Be Lonely to the highly acclaimed list.

Martin Garrix: “It’s crazy to have another one of my songs hit one billion streams on Spotify! ‘Scared To Be Lonely’ is a song very close to my heart. Even though the song has been released quite some time ago, it’s amazing to see that so many people are still listening to it.”

Martin Garrix and Dua Lipa released their collaborative track “Scared To Be Lonely” at the end of January in 2017, coming as a stylistic follow-up to Garrix’s 2016 song with Bebe Rexha, “In the Name of Love.” The track served as a deeper and more personal exploration of the melancholy and romantic path that his releases were heading down to.

Shooting straight to the charts, reaching the top 10 of charts in 12 countries worldwide and breaking onto the Hot 100 and the UK Singles Chart. The song has since been certified platinum or higher in 15 territories, including double platinum in the US and UK. A billion Spotify streams accolade can now be added onto the long-list of achievements.
