Vladan Krstic aka KICA has already brought you the amazing hits Cuckoo ft Yohnani and Clockwork this summer. Now, he brings you the delectable 2 AM available on his own KICA Records on 16th August.

Vladan Krstic, is an ex professional athlete and curator of extreme sports events, at which he booked some incredible DJs such as Ricardo Vilalobos, Rolando, and The Martinez Brothers who inspired him to spin beats himself. After moving to Dubai in 2015, he quickly began turning heads with his trademark dynamic sound.

By 2020, he was one of the most in demand DJs in the UAE, releasing on Baikonur Recordings. His debut single Mini reached 4th place on Beatport, followed by a list of hit singles such as Street Dance, Dor E Dor, and Caje Caje.

KICA had spent all day and night in the studio. Nothing that he had yet created matched up to his incredibly high standards. Then, in the stillness of the early morning hours, he rediscovered his unreleased track Better Life. From here, the bassline melody emerged. KICA, this was a eureka moment. Working tirelessly, 2 AM was finished before sunrise.

Drawing from the raw, introspective vibes of late-night creativity and the immersive beats of electronic legends like Ricardo Villalobos, The Martinez Brothers, Carl Cox, and Richie Hawtin, 2 AM is a pure minimal tech masterpiece. 2 AM starts with a primal beat and driving bassline that takes no prisoners. Layers of glitch synths ramp up the intensity with chopped vocal samples and pads completing this minimal masterpiece.

KICA Explains: “2 AM is more than just a track, it’s a moment captured in time. Whilst playing ‘Better Life’, I felt a sudden surge of creativity. As I played the baseline, the first four notes unveiled a completely new song. Before I knew it, I was immersed in creating this track. It all came together at 2 AM.”

Completing his recent trilogy of bangers, KICA is in a rich vein of form with plenty more to come from Dubai’s minimal maestro. Keep your ears peeled back!
