Lively LA-based production duo Niiko x SWAE are globally renowned for their larger than life sound. Enlisting NY-based producer Zack Martino and Californian artist Kyle Reynolds for a summer-tinged collaboration, ‘Glue’ is out now on Armada Music.
Drenched in sunshine vibes, ‘Glue’ glistens with uplifting piano chords, a bouncy bassline and an undeniably catchy vocal piece. Calling upon all artist’s signature sounds, this multi-layered creation is crafted to perfection, treating the listener to a vast variety of sonic elements across its duration. The result of an Instagram exchange between Niiko x SWAE and Zack Martino, ‘Glue’ is a seamless team effort that provides the perfect soundtrack those unforgettable summer nights.
Speaking about the single off their forthcoming ‘Field Trip’ EP, Niiko x SWAE said “pun intended, this song really helps “glue” the whole EP together. It’s radio friendly, but also fun and energetic enough to be played in clubs, which makes it a really diverse track. In terms of momentum, we really think this song helps drive the EP and push forward our new sound we have been working so hard to perfect.” Kicking 2021 off on an all-time high, the EP’s lead single ‘I Ain’t Going Home’ with April Bender received heavy radio support, including BPM, Dash Radio, Music Choice and hit #46 on the overall chart. At the forefront of a new dance revolution with their vibrant offerings, ‘Glue’ readies the dance music world for the release of their ‘Field Trip’ EP on Armada Music.
Storming onto the scene in 2016, Zack Martino commanded attention with his unique sound. Attracting over 1 million monthly listeners, he has amassed over 60 million streams on Spotify and released on an array of the most influential labels including Armada, Atlantic Records, Ultra Music and Capitol Records. Boasting a Grammy nomination, this young producer has collaborated and remixed a long list of industry greats, including The Chainsmokers, Rich Boy, Borgeous and VASSY and continues to impress with his invigorating productions.
In an age and industry obsessed with pigeon-holing musical genres, it’s always refreshing when something new comes along. And you don’t forget those moments easily; when the Renaissance A&R department heard Forgotten Notes first demo early last year, they were taken by both the uniqueness of sound and quality of production. We think they’re a very exciting prospect indeed.
Now, intrepid Swiss duo Ron and Erhan aka Forgotten Notes return with the ‘Resurrect EP’ on Renaissance, which comprises a trilogy of tracks that further highlights their scope and ability. Whether title record ‘Resurrect’ with its powerful groove and amazingly original, tempo-switching breakdown; the deep house shimmer of ‘Celestial’ or the melodic techno ascent of ‘Radiance’, this is an EP that is as beautiful as it is varied. You can hear the time and effort that has gone into the project as the guys explain, “We deliberately did three differing tracks. It’s important to us that we connect with our listeners and, as music is so subjective, we cast a diverse net. The trick was to keep it cohesive though, each track may be very different, but our goal was to retain a consistent vibe throughout.”
The package is completed by another new Renaissance signing – Loew. Fresh from his breakout success with a bootleg of Leftfield’s ‘Not Forgotten’, he kick-starts his Renaissance relationship with a hair-raising take on ‘Celestial’. His interpretation is a full-on, end-of-set, atmospheric breaks stormer. By adding a vocal and bringing out the track’s central piano riff he delivers something very special indeed and sets the bar for an exciting future. Expect to hear more from him on the label later this year…
Joining forces to deliver a psy trance tune of massive proportions, Vini Vici and Blastoyz alongside Jean Marie managed to score yet another hit song with their latest release on Spinnin Records “Gaia”. Featuring ethnic infusions of sound with the use of diverse stringed and woodwind instruments, pumping beats and the Vini Vici signature psy bassline, “Gaia” is a wonderful mixture of organic and electronic, with a great balance of energy and atmosphere all throughout the track. The breakdown is very chilling and powerful with the vocals kicking in alongside the other instruments, while the energy is being maintained with the use of tribal and ethnic percussion. The whole track feels very atmospheric and cohesive, all elements blending in well together and the transitions taking the track smoothly from section to section. Definitely another killer tune we recommend. Listen or download “Gaia” here:

When DJ/producer Dennis Horstmann aka Special D. and his friend Oliver West started to produce electronic music with around 128 BPM under their DJ-duo name Point Blank back in 2009, nobody ever heard of a new genre called “EDM”.
Basically not knowing people later would call their music exactly this, the two Hamburg based DJs produced their first official single “Walking on air” back in 2010. The track was then released on the iconic label “Ministry Of Sound” in 2011 and remained a “secret weapon” for artists like Tiësto.
Eleven years later, Swedish artist Quickdrop delivers a sick harder uptempo remix of POINT BLVNK’s (Now a solo-artist) “Walking on air”, twisted the vibe and lead-melody to a whole different track. The remix is now available via POINT BLVNK’s very own imprint PYRO Records, distributed by Kontor New Media.
Based out of Hamburg, the 6’7“ guy launched PYRO Records in 2012 and toured as a DJ for more than 15 years, playing festivals such as Parookaville in Germany. Driven by his passion for music and culture, he’s done everything from hosting Sony Music’s Clubsounds TV and being a playlist-curator of some of the biggest festivals after releasing tracks and remixes earlier with/for legends such as Azzido Da Bass and Joachim Garraud.
POINT BLVNK’s music, released on labels such as Tommie Sunshine’s Brooklyn Fire, the EDX label Sirup, Deorro’s Panda Funk, 2-Dutch and others and has been heard in DJ-sets of world renown artists such as David Guetta, Martin Garrix, Alan Walker, Don Diablo, Tiësto, Afrojack, Fedde Le Grand, Blasterjaxx, Lucas & Steve, VINAI, Danny Avila, Timmy Trumpet, Quintino, Tomorrowland Resident Yves V and Firebeatz just to name a few.
Born in Philly and raised on his father’s all-encompassing record collection, Avery‘s appreciation for music comes from the soul. Early exposure to Philly’s underground music scene, block parties, and cookouts sparked his admiration of music of all genres.
In 2005, he moved to NYC to pursue a career in the arts. A few years later, Avery made his artistic debut with Reasonable Doubt, a five-day performance art piece where he explored honesty and integrity in the art world.
In 2016, Avery moved to Detroit, a city known for breeding the early sounds of underground electronic music. In Detroit, techno’s legacy and the pulse of its creative landscape provided him with daily inspiration. However, it wasn’t until his father passed away in 2018 that his earliest experiences of music came back to the forefront. Familial memories inspired his entry into the world of electronic music. This crucible is where Avery was reborn, a moniker that has come to symbolise self-reflection, collective experience, and boundless realisation.
Fast forward to the present, his debut E.P. ChildSelf, traverses across an array of soundscapes – with the extended player paying homage to innocence and the source of his creative expression. The E.P. also represents a juncture in Avery‘s own personal history, a moment of artistic reflection as he considers the varying roads that have led him to the present day.
From the opening cut ‘Pink Polo’, title track ‘Child Self’ and onto ‘Ecstasy’ and ‘Operational Tempo’ – Avery‘s personal and historical memories resurface across the E.P. in roundabout ways, unlocked in ecstatic sonic transmissions, expressing profound sentiments that language can’t easily describe.
Underpinned with subtle reference points to Detroit’s legendary history, with underlying samples that seamlessly flow between house, Motown, disco, and Hip-Hop, Child Self clearly defines Avery‘s forthcoming musical agenda fittingly.
After working together with leading names in the music industry such as Akon, Chris Brown, Ed Sheeran, Kesha, Jeremy Renner, Riff Raff to produce visual designs – alongside being responsible for the full digital brand experience of Sam Feldt. Dutch designer Dzanar now joins forces with the multi-dimensional rapper/producer G-Eazy.
G-Eazy is the latest artist to enter the NFT space. He has teamed with digital artist Dzanar and the Quincy Jones-backed OneOf for “The Geralds,” a new collection that showcases his many different sides and hobbies, from his mountain man persona to the skateboarder. ‘The Geralds’ are sold in ‘packs’. This makes it possible to collect different combinations. And fans who purchase the NFTs will have the chance to win VIP perks, from dinner with G-Eazy to hanging with him in Vegas.
G-Eazy says: “This collaboration with OneOf has been long in the making. My debut NFT collection is made with love. It’s a combination of music, fashion and technology to show all the different sides of myself. I think we all share the same vision of creating a sustainable Web3 future and I’m really excited to have my fans join in.”
Dzanar adds: “I love to put my imagination to work and create art that breathes style and substance. “Working with OneOf and G-Eazy on ‘The Geralds’ allows me to create art that bridges a wide range of areas. This project brings artistic freedom and beauty, which I find extremely important in the work I do.”
Taking on the task of creating a series of NFT’s for G-Easy allowed Dzanar to reach his full potential. These tokens reflect the unique aspects both G-Easy and Dzanar’s brand. The reason behind Dzanar and G-Easy promoting these tokens is not one of monetary gain but for creating a glimpse into the lives of both so the fans can feel they’re part of their world. Without the audience, the artist has no value and that exact mindset made these pieces of art come to life. And while these tokens are gloriously futuristic, their design is reminiscent of childlike wonders we’ve all experienced and often yearn for.

Following key releases on the likes of Multinotes, Siamese and Sun Over Histories, Sheffield-based Dilate Records bossman Evans returns to Bedrock with another blissful brace of nocturnal adventures.
Taking off where Futurism left us – but this time bringing friend and kindred spirit Altman on one of the tracks – the tone is set to earnest, the rushes are set to high and the emotions are overloading as the rising star weaves around us gently, twisting us up into his maze of feelings and fantastical dynamics.
Tailored to make you close your eyes and lose yourself in the music, each cut hits with spellbinding allure; the triumphant thrust and beguiling arpeggios on the title track Tropik, the rising sense of drama on Santos and the mind/heart/soul melting breakdown of the finale Birds Of Paradise all tread that fine balance…soft yet slapping, hazy yet hard, dreamy yet dead serious.
Evans sent: music like this is going to turn a lot of heads this summer.

On April 29, following almost a year of international hearsay and speculation, celebrated Danish live act WhoMadeWho unveiled the details and upcoming release date of their seventh full-length studio album UUUU. A thirteen-track opus set for release on May 27 via German imprint Embassy One, the album announcement was marked by the release of the huge collaborative album title track with Rampa – UUUU.
Now, with the release of the band’s long player just a fortnight away, WhoMadeWho unleash one final pre-album gift, as they enlist Berlin-based producer and Keinemusik co-founder &ME to provide his own resplendent interpretation of the ethereal six-minute album single.
One of the most in-demand artists in electronic music today, there are very few producers on the circuit who can lay claim to such an abundant slew of dancefloor juggernauts as &ME. The man behind tracks including Muyé, Discoteca, The Rapture Pt.II and perhaps most notably his 2019 remix of Guy Gerber’s What To Do, the past few years has also seen &ME help spearhead the huge international success of the Keinemusik collective, alongside esteemed label mates Rampa, Adam Port and Reznik.
Delivering a beautifully nuanced underground house cut, awash with luscious analogue textures, restrained rhythms and a blissful groove that bolsters the record across its duration, &ME’s remix is an absolute masterclass from the off; its pulsating heartbeat and teasing builds sweeping and soaring with intense delight. Subtle yet immense, the remix is produced with the poise and elegance of an artist who has been captivating minds with his music for over fifteen years – an artist whose ability to link innovative production with consensual reception making him one of the most unique and original figures in the game.
In the years since their inception WhoMadeWho have established themselves as one of the definitive underground bands of their generation, renowned for their exceptional grasp of emotional depth, heartrending melody and inspired song writing. The group, comprised of Tomas Høffding, Tomas Barfod and Jeppe Kjellberg, inject consummate professionalism into standout performances all over the globe, from Roskilde to Sonar, Melt! to Burning Man and have produced seven albums and a plethora of EPs, singles and remixes on labels like Kompakt, Innervisions, Life & Death. With Barfod’s penchant for electronic music poetically juxtaposed with Høffding and Kjellberg’s respective backgrounds in rock and jazz, their music is an electrifying combination of sounds, merging a variety of influences to produce a unique sonic fingerprint that is emotive, irresistible and immensely satisfying.
