Global superstar, producer, and DJ Kygo teams up with fellow producer and electronic artist Gryffin and multi-platinum British singer/songwriter Calum Scott for their new single “Woke Up In Love,” out now via RCA Records. The upbeat, sonically lush production is propelled by Calum’s melodic vocals and explores the raw emotions of healing and self-love after heartbreak.

The release of “Woke Up In Love” is the latest from Kygo, who earlier this year teamed up with dance-rock group DNCE to release their vibrant, funk-fueled single “Dancing Feet,” followed by the sweeping and cinematic “Freeze” along with a two-track bundle with Dean Lewis, featuring the emotive “Lost Without You” and “Never Really Loved Me.”

Through his lifestyle brand Palm Tree Crew, Kygo returned to The Hamptons over the summer for the second Palm Tree Festival, which saw performances from Kygo in addition to Disclosure, Claptone, Thomas Jack, Forester, and Haywood. Kygo will continue his ongoing residencies at XS Nightclub and Encore Beach Club in Las Vegas this month along with a headlining performance at Life is Beautiful. This fall sees Kygo playing his first headlining show in New York City since 2018 at Madison Square Garden on October 6, in addition to heading out on the road on his South American tour.

It’s radio friendly, but also fun and energetic enough to be played in clubs, which makes it a really diverse track. Renaissance signings Forgotten Notes release powerful ‘Resurrect’ EP !

In an age and industry obsessed with pigeon-holing musical genres, it’s always refreshing when something new comes along. And you don’t forget those moments easily; when the Renaissance A&R department heard Forgotten Notes first demo early last year, they were taken by both the uniqueness of sound and quality of production. We think they’re a very exciting prospect indeed.

Now, intrepid Swiss duo Ron and Erhan aka Forgotten Notes return with the ‘Resurrect EP’ on Renaissance, which comprises a trilogy of tracks that further highlights their scope and ability. Whether title record ‘Resurrect’ with its powerful groove and amazingly original, tempo-switching breakdown; the deep house shimmer of ‘Celestial’ or the melodic techno ascent of ‘Radiance’, this is an EP that is as beautiful as it is varied. You can hear the time and effort that has gone into the project as the guys explain, “We deliberately did three differing tracks. It’s important to us that we connect with our listeners and, as music is so subjective, we cast a diverse net. The trick was to keep it cohesive though, each track may be very different, but our goal was to retain a consistent vibe throughout.”

The package is completed by another new Renaissance signing – Loew. Fresh from his breakout success with a bootleg of Leftfield’s ‘Not Forgotten’, he kick-starts his Renaissance relationship with a hair-raising take on ‘Celestial’. His interpretation is a full-on, end-of-set, atmospheric breaks stormer. By adding a vocal and bringing out the track’s central piano riff he delivers something very special indeed and sets the bar for an exciting future. Expect to hear more from him on the label later this year…

Vini Vici, Blastoyz, and Jean Marie teamed up to deliver you “Gaia” !

Joining forces to deliver a psy trance tune of massive proportions, Vini Vici and Blastoyz alongside Jean Marie managed to score yet another hit song with their latest release on Spinnin Records “Gaia”.
Featuring ethnic infusions of sound with the use of diverse stringed and woodwind instruments, pumping beats and the Vini Vici signature psy bassline, “Gaia” is a wonderful mixture of organic and electronic, with a great balance of energy and atmosphere all throughout the track. The breakdown is very chilling and powerful with the vocals kicking in alongside the other instruments, while the energy is being maintained with the use of tribal and ethnic percussion. The whole track feels very atmospheric and cohesive, all elements blending in well together and the transitions taking the track smoothly from section to section. Definitely another killer tune we recommend. Listen or download “Gaia” here:

Ameli Paul Release Debut Album ‘Echoes of Memoria’ via MEIOSIS!

German live act and vocal electronica outfit, Ameli Paul, today release their remarkable debut album Echoes of Memoria via independent Berlin-based imprint MEIOSIS.

Cultivating a theme of self-expression, angst and deep introspection across their inaugural long player, Echoes of Memoria sees partners Ameli and Paul explore their most poignant sonic narrative to date, as they combine avant-garde electronic production techniques with neo-classical instrumentation and heart-wrenching storytelling to deliver a groundbreaking journey through sound on one of the most exciting young labels in electronic music.

Spanning twelve distinct vocal productions, including the recently released lead singles Encore and Musca, the album is a thought-provoking opus conceived and created over the past two years, with each track on the album representing a period in Ameli Paul’s turbulent relationship, dating back to 2016. A strikingly artistic project that straddles the sonic boundaries of electronica, alternative synthpop, breakbeat and operatic sensibilites, the Berlin-based outfit has created a truly personal and contemporary work of art that breaks away from normative convention, with remarkable allure.

Ameli Paul

The melting pot of a trained singer and awarded jazz musician with a successful electronic music producer, the common experiences, impressions, smells, emotions and encounters processed by both Ameli and Paul over the past seven years have shaped their unique musical signature. Overall Echoes of Memoria is a musical diary about transitions, inner turmoil and ultimately their break-up, which all reverberate together to build this monument, honoring and cherishing the countless precious moments they’ve shared.

Speaking about the album, Ameli Paul commented:

“This album has been on our minds for two years. Now, at long last, our protégé is finally taking its first breath. Our idiosyncratically grown plant that’s battled through all these shared moments of struggle, doubts and frustration is now standing up again through key moments of inspiration; regaining confidence and acceptance of who we are. With Echoes of Memoria we conclude a chapter, as it’s the roots of our identity that we carry in our hearts…forever.” Now showcasing large parts of the album on the road, Ameli Paul are currently supporting legendary German producer and internationally celebrated live act Monolink on his biggest European tour to date. Taking on over a dozen shows across Germany, Switzerland, Poland, Austria and the Czech Republic in just five weeks, the tour – which kicked off at Progresja, Warsaw on November 9 – concludes at X-Tra in Zürich on December 15.

Fresh off his massive remix for PaulWetz and Dillstone which has already amassed more than a staggering 3 Million streams since it’s release in July, Mahmut Orhan returns with Turkish duo Drumstone on ‘Allies’ – a Techno/House inspired masterpiece featuring an iconic sample from Turkish actor Sadri Alisik, in his 1964 dated movie called “Avare.

Turkish-born producer and DJ Mahmut Orhan is no stranger to creating huge global reaching records. His biggest hit so far ‘Feel’ (released 2016) has amassed an immense 500 million+ combined streams across streaming platforms and YouTube. This has seen the record capture top ten chart spots in Greece, Luxembourg and Poland, with top 100 spots in Turkey, Germany and Romania. Following this up the Turkish talent released 6 Days (released 2018), a collaboration with Colonel Bagshot which also skyrocketed into the top 100 charts of many countries. Moreover, the single further built on Orhan’s success securing number 1’s in Turkey, Greece, Romania and Serbia.

He then joined forces with Germany-based label Selected to release a monumental remix of PaulWetz and Dillstone’s ‘Moment’ which has since gone on to become a multi-million streaming giant. Mahmut has subsequently featured in top tier publications such as GQ, where he claimed Turkey’s DJ of the year 2017, mincing with the biggest and best talent from his home nation. He has since become a regular fixture in publications such as Mixmag, DJ Mag, billboard, Dancing Astronaut and many others.

Combining with the star power of Mahmut Orhan, is fellow native friends and brother duo Drumstone. Known for their prowess in creating melodic and atmospheric productions, they first spung onto the scene with their incredible Antares EP, which quickly caught the attention of world-famous DJ/Artist Tiesto who played the virulent single ‘Wanderlust’ in his Tomorrowland 2020 show and subsequently signed it to his label AFTR:HRS. This would spark a thriving relationship with AFTR:HRS who the duo went on to release their Lost River EP with. Since then they haven’t looked back, having their records played by Tale of Us, Kevin De Vries, and Fideles, as well as performing alongside Mind Against, Stephan Jolk, Konstantin Sibold and 8Kays to name a few.

About the collaboration Drumstone say: “This has been a spectacular track with a timeless soul..!!”

WhoMadeWho Enlist Patrice Bäumel to Remix UUUU Album Single “Never Alone” !

The last twelve months have been nothing short of a whirlwind ride for WhoMadeWho. Reflecting on one the most prolific years in their esteemed history – a year which has seen them drop their critically acclaimed studio album UUUU and wrap their most intensive world tour to date – the globally sought-after Danish live act now looks to conclude 2022 in style, as they commission Patrice Bäumel to deliver one of the biggest remixes of the year.

No strangers to one another, following the release of their debut collaboration Nefertari on Cercle Records in 2021, the WhoMadeWho-Bäumel combination is tried and tested, to say the least. With Bäumel now on official remix duties, this latest record sees the world-renowned Dutch producer breathe a vibrant club energy into one of the standout singles from WhoMadeWho’s latest album, as he reimagines the inimitable Never Alone.

True to reputation, Bäumel’s remix is a masterclass from the off. Manipulating Tomas Hoffding’s withdrawn vocals across the latter half of the nine-minute cut, the Dutchman’s heady amalgam of rhythmic drum patterns and textured synths is utterly compelling, as he concocts a spine-tingling house track that delivers from the very first kickdrum. Propelled by deep basslines and dynamic synth lines, Patrice’s remix brings the whimsical original to the depths of the dancefloor, as he adds to his expansive catalogue with yet another majestic, peak-time masterpiece.

Speaking about the remix WhoMadeWho commented:

“We were imagining a phrase and a melody that would – in an ultimate way – connect us to the crowd at our shows. A slogan that would make the crowd feel awesome about themselves, their friends, and the whole situation. We were walking home from a studio session over a local bridge called Dybbølsbro when the entire thing just came to Høffding all at once. He ran home and made a raw demo that evolved into the version you know from the album. But honestly, it only ever really took off when we got this amazing remix from Patrice Bäumel. He made the song fly, and it’s now one of the highlights of our shows!”

In the years since their inception WhoMadeWho have established themselves as one of the definitive underground bands of their generation, renowned for their exceptional grasp of emotional depth, heartrending melody and inspired song writing. The group, comprised of Tomas Høffding, Tomas Barfod and Jeppe Kjellberg, inject consummate professionalism into standout performances all over the globe, from Roskilde to Sonar, Melt! to Burning Man and have produced seven albums and a plethora of EPs, singles and remixes on labels like Kompakt, Innervisions and Life & Death amongst others. With Barfod’s penchant for electronic music poetically juxtaposed with Høffding and Kjellberg’s respective backgrounds in rock and jazz, their music is an electrifying combination of sounds, merging a variety of influences to produce a unique sonic fingerprint that is emotive, irresistible and immensely satisfying.

WhoMadeWho – Never Alone (Patrice Bäumel Remix) is out now Embassy One.
