Ever since bursting onto the scene, Argentinian producer D3FAI has continued to amaze with his music. So far, he’s received support from many dance music superstars, such as Afrojack, Hardwell, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Krewella and more, plus he’s released his tunes on massive labels such as Spinnin’ Records and Revealed Recordings.

Recently, he’s dropped a banging tune on Ensis Records and for this occasion, we’ve had the chance to have a little chat with him. You can check out our exclusive interview below!

  1. Hey there. How have you been lately?

Thanks for asking! I’ve been amazing lately, working on lot of new music, big projects, tours, and having good time with friends and family.

2) First of all, since this is the very first time we’re interviewing you, can you tell us a little but about yourself so that our readers could get to know you better?

Sure! My name is Federico Ezequiel Fragala. I’m a Dj/Producer from Buenos Aires, Argentina. I’m 20 years old, and i’m super excited to make all my dreams come true.

3) How did it all start for you? Were you always interested in electronic music?

Everything started when i was 14, i listened two iconic tracks in that moment: ‘Epic’ by Sandro Silva & Quintino, and ‘Rattle’ by Bingo Players. That was the right moment i got into in Electronic Music and EDM. Started making music at 17, it was hard at the beginning but with so many hours of work and learning, i get where i am today. All the big things happened when Tiesto gave me a huge support on my ‘Lethal Industry’ remix, after that it was a game over. He was so kind and humble, asked me for more music, beeing in his radio show (Club Life) 5 times in a row, and getting the support of so many djs. Then Deorro, Hardwell, Afrojack and Blasterjaxx came along and all their support plus Tiesto made me what i am today aswell.

4) What do you think makes you and your music unique from other DJs/producers?

I think what makes me unique is the way i make my drops and build ups. I’m in love with festivals, aswell with the tracks, so i always add my ‘Festival’ vibe to every track of mine. I love to get my tracks played at festivals aswell, who doesn’t? So basically all the releases i do are beeing played for 6 months or so for the biggest djs in the world.

5) We also want to know when did you first feel that you had made it as a producer and DJ?

The right moment i felt i made it as a producer were in 2016 when i get the huge support and follow from my biggest idols (Tiesto, Hardwell, Afrojack, Deorro and Blasterjaxx). After that, i started to release music in the best labels around the world.

6) We know that you just released a brand new single on Ensis Records. Can you give us more details about the track?

It’s a funny story, i were in a video call with ‘D-Bunk’, he’s a very close friend of mine, he was playing the track in the background and i really liked how it sounds so i asked him to send it to me to check it in my studio, and i really liked it! But i thought it’d need some changes and i did them in my way, making it a catchy and powerful track for clubs mostly!

7) With summer officially here, can you tell us where can we see you perform these following months?

The following months i’ll be travelling a lot to Paraguay for some shows + touring. Aswell getting some deals for tours done for China, India and many more. You can follow me on my socials to know everything about me, my future releases and touring! It’s ‘D3FAI’ for my Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

8) We have one final question for you. On the long run, what is the biggest goal you have in your musical career?

The biggest goals i’ve in my musical career are: Play at Mainstage of Ultra Music Festival, Tomorrowland and all the amazing ones all over the world. And of course, make collabs with my biggest idols Hardwell, Afrojack, Deorro and Blasterjaxx (Already made with two of them! Deorro and Blasterjaxx), and i’m super happy with the result! Proud to made it aswell, with lot of hard work and beeing positive, no one can stop you.
