Eduard Shyfrin and his blues-rock outfit, Shyfrin Alliance, announce two brand-new remixes of single ‘Whiskey Blues’ – by house music pioneer Todd Terry.
The remixes reimagine the smoky, guitar-driven atmosphere of the original track through Todd Terry’s signature dancefloor energy, blending deep grooves, rhythmic house beats, and soulful textures into a fresh crossover release designed for both club audiences and longtime fans alike. We caught up with Eduard Shyfrin to find out more about the project!
1. Welcome to EDM Nations, Eduard & how’s your Summer season been?
Thank you for having me. Summer season was great. All the family gathered at our house: children and grandchildren.
2. With the Todd Terry remixes of your single ‘Whiskey Blues’ building strongly across clubs/radio, how did the Shyfrin Alliance collaboration with Todd come about?
Whiskey Blues is the first remix of Shyfrin Alliance; I decided to try the new musical dimension. I asked Steve Budd, he is a top professional with 30 years experience in the music business, to find the remixer. He connected me with Todd Terry.
3. Receiving support from the likes of Martin Garrix, along with strong radio chart action, how would you describe the Shyfrin Alliance sound?
I like blues, rock, and jazz, old school.
4. When it came to selecting who remixed ‘Whiskey Blues’, what were the main factors you considered?
The remix ‘Missing,’ produced by Todd Terry, is my favorite.
5. Are there any plans for additional remixes to follow?
Yes, we are working on the other versions of ‘Whiskey Blues’ and ‘Buddha Blues’.
6. Looking ahead, what’s the next Shyfrin Alliance single our readers should look out for?
I’m releasing the singles from the new album ‘In the Dimension of Blues’; the single ‘On the Edge of Rain’ was released two days ago.
