Fresh off the release of ‘Good Time’ on HoTL Records, Latin house pioneer Allan Piziano joins us to talk about how the track came together, what it was like uniting with tribal house veteran Luis Erre and the iconic Celeda, and what is coming next as the season builds. Based in Mexico City but travelling the world throughout the year, Allan has long been one of the most respected figures in the Latin house scene, with multiple Beatport Top 10 releases and a sound built on powerful rhythms, tribal energy, and a deep connection to the dancefloor. We caught up with him to find out more.
Allan, a warm welcome to EDM Nations! Where can our readers find you based right now?
Thank you so much for having me and for giving me the opportunity to be part of this. I’m based in Mexico City, but I travel around the world quite a bit throughout the year.
Congratulations on the release of your new single ‘Good Time’, how did the record come to life?
The original idea behind the track was to create a remix for Celeda, the artist behind the iconic hit “Music Is the Answer.” Our manager reached out to her to get her approval for the remix, and she absolutely loved our version of “Good Time.” She then decided to release it as a collaboration with Luis Erre and me.
Is this the first time you’ve collaborated with both Luis Erre & Celeda?
I’ve collaborated with Luis Erre on several tracks, and that’s how “Good Time” with Celeda came together.
Signed to David Tort’s legendary HoTL Records, have you released with the label before?
Yes, I’ve released music on David Tort’s HoTL Records before, and several of my tracks have reached the Top 10 on Beatport’s sales charts.
How would you describe the Allan Piziano trademark sound to our readers?
I’d describe my sound as a distinctive blend of Latin and tribal influences, with powerful rhythms and a strong energy that really connects with the crowd. I love creating music that makes people feel something and, most importantly, makes them want to move. For me, that connection with the audience is what makes every track special.
Are there plans for any remixes of ‘Good Time’ to come?
There have been remixes of “Good Time” dating back to the 2000s, so we felt it was important for our version to preserve the essence and identity of the original track while giving it a fresh sound. At the moment, the license we have for the track doesn’t allow us to create additional remixes, but we’re really happy with how this version came together.
Lastly, what’s next for you release wise Allan, as we move into the Autumn season?
I have a couple of tracks in the works with the legendary David Tort, plus three new tracks that I can’t say too much about just yet. I’m really excited about what’s coming and, most importantly, happy to keep creating, experimenting, and sharing new music with everyone. There’s definitely more to come!
