NYC dance music mainstay Louie DeVito returns with his latest Afro house-infused single, ‘Heat On My Skin’, a feel-good, club-ready cut that showcases his signature sound. With a legacy that includes the iconic ‘Ultra Dance 4’ on Ultra Records and a career highlight set at Pacha in Ibiza, DeVito continues to leave his mark on the global dance scene. In this exclusive interview, he opens up about the inspiration behind the new record, how New York City’s vibrant street culture fuels his creativity, and what’s next on his radar.

It’s great to have you at EDM Nations, Louie! Where in the world can our readers find you right now?

Thank you! You can find me in my home studio working on my next release!

Marking the release of your new single ‘Heat On My Skin’, how would you characterize the sound of the record?

Afro house vibes all the way. I wanted a fun, catchy, feel good sound.

Living in NYC, how much does the dance landscape of such a vibrant city influence you musically?

Nothing beats walking through the city and experiencing all the different musical cultures. The idea for the bells in my track came from someone playing on a street corner one day.

With a long & revered history in the scene, what’s been a highlight in your career to date?

Playing Pacha in Ibiza.

As a DJ, do you hold any residencies or regular club slots our readers can find you at?

Residencies unfortunately are becoming a thing of the past here due to many one off events. I do pop up events at many places. They can always go to my website louiedevito.net to find where my next party is.

And lastly, are there plans for remixes of ‘Heat On My Skin’ to follow?

I love the original mix, though I am open to having a remix done in the future.
