Having built resounding resumes on their own account, two of Holland’s most iconic DJ’s AFROJACK and Gregor Salto have now joined forces for what might be called an exhilarating new chapter in their respective careers. Operating as brand new act AfroSalto, the duo has teamed up with Miami-based powerhouse Mednas for the mesmerizing debut single “All Good Things (Come To An End),” a vibrant afrohouse anthem that builds on the vocal lines of Nelly Furtado’s eponymous hit, effectively capturing the essence of reconnecting with loved ones and cherishing life’s moments. 2025 couldn’t start in a more profound, uplifting way than this tune, out now on Spinnin’ Records.
AfroSalto resembles a match made in house heaven. Both artists have played a seminal role in the rise of electronic music, initially dominating the Dutch scene since the early zeroes, before conquering a worldwide audience with a series of massive, genre defining festival hits.
While AFROJACK played a huge role in the unstoppable wave of EDM (including legendary collabs with Pitbull, Ne-Yo, David Guetta, Eva Simons and Steve Aoki), fellow Dutchman Gregor Salto developed a hot blooded latin house sound, brought to an international audience with smash hits like Dr. Kucho! collab “Can’t Stop Playing” and the Sergio Mendes featured “Magalenha.”
In the meantime, both artists remained close friends, sharing a common love for afrohouse music, the tribal infused club sound that basically kicked off their careers in the early zeroes. Having worked together incidentally throughout the years, like on 2010’s club hit “I’ll Be There,” an official teamup was never materialized since then.
Until now, on the verge of 2025, when both iconic DJ’s rekindle their shared passion with the launch of a promising new project, aptly named AfroSalto. In this shape, the guys aim to redefine afrohouse by infusing it with emotional depth and infectious grooves, setting the tone for an exciting year ahead.
“All Good Things (Come To An End)” emphasizes this goal like no other. Built upon a warm, feverish groove where organic percussion intertwines with sweet rhythmic melodies, the melancholic vibe of the song is perfectly balanced by its deep club feel, courtesy of both artists’ underground background and productional expertise with the classic afrohouse sound.
In addition, Miami-based producer Mednas (known for his 2014 club hit “iLL Behavior” alongside CID as well as recent tunes on Heldeep and Musical Freedom) adds his undeniable energy, creating a fresh groove that’s bound to strike a chord with dance floors all over the globe.
As “All Good Things” evolves, it gains momentum on the wings of Nelly Furtado’s eponymous 2006 hit, employing her vocal lines on top of the song’s infectious rhythm, creating a delicate layer of energy, emotion and sensitivity – a combination of vibes that has always defined the best dance records out there.
Harking back to their early love for afrohouse, AFROJACK and Gregor Salto now redefine the genre with this ambitious new project. AfroSalto was born from decades of friendship and a shared passion for pushing creative boundaries, and promises to drop more gems as the new year unfolds.
For sure, 2025 is going to be an exciting year, as ‘all good things’ have only just started for this brand new duo.
