This year’s UNTOLD festival once again cemented its reputation as one of the most incredible events in the music world, achieving record-breaking numbers and setting a new standard for production and performance.

More than 372,000 people enjoyed 74 hours of music across the weekend, with over 6 million people watching the live streams online. Day 4 being the absolute highlight with over 97,000 music-lovers attending the festival. The United Kingdom, The Netherlands, Italy, France and Germany were the foreign countries with the most fans in attendance, making up 20% of the crowd amongst other foreign countries. Alongside 20% of fans from Cluj-Napoca, there were 60% local music lovers from other parts of Romania.

Day 1 saw Tujamo declare his mainstage set “the best two hours of my life” and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike exclaim: “Romania, let me tell you something. You are the most wonderful and strongest audience in the world. We were just waiting to get to you.” Day 2 saw regular headliner Armin Van Buuren steal the headlines, entering the stage as the Orchestra of the Romanian National Opera played the Romanian national anthem and with a slew of vocalists joining him throughout his set.

This was all part of an exclusive show, ARMIN UNTOLD, made especially for UNTOLD‘s 5 year anniversary. Bastille performed an epic main stage set on Day 3 to a rapturous response, while Danny Avila took to the stage with a full dance company interpreting his powerful beats. On the final day, Robbie Williams performed an hour-and-a-half of his greatest hits, with an impressive stage show of dancers and costumes. On the final night it was left to Martin Garrix to treat a packed main stage to his incredible and energetic show.
