YouTube has just announced that starting with May 16th, they will be taking measures so that song credits will be added to the videos existing on the platform. So far, more than half a billion videos have received artist, songwriter, label and publishing credits. The new feature can be found in the description box, at the “Music In This Video” section. To make this possible, YouTube uses data provided by Content ID, as well as from the platform’s partnerships with different publishers, record labels and more. More videos will feature song credits in the future.
