One of the most iconic and much-loved house tracks in the Strictly Rhythm legendary back catalogue gets a fresh and exciting new reworking, as fast-rising Irish house music duo Obskϋr remix Barbara Tucker ‘Beautiful People’, released today.
Having shaped the face of house music since its inception in New York in 1989, Strictly Rhythm wanted to give one its most famous house music anthems its first official remix in several years. As one of the most celebrated and forward-thinking labels, Obskϋr were the perfect choice to remix Barbara Tucker ‘Beautiful People’, taking the anthem into a deeper and twisted territory which is perfect for Ibiza parties and summer festivals over the coming months.
Obskϋr rose to the challenge and said: “It was a huge deal for us to be asked to take part in such an amazing project. Being able to put our own spin on a house classic that’s so entrenched in music history was a task we didn’t take lightly, but we are absolutely buzzing with how it turned out. We cannot wait to share it and test it out on the dance floor this summer. An absolute pleasure.”
Dublin-based House Music Producers & DJs Obskϋr have made serious waves in a short space of time, including ’The Dark’ on FFRR and ‘Evil’ EP on Shall Not Fade, supported by DJs including Pete Tong, Danny Howard, Sarah Story, Annie Mac, Jaguar, Charlie Hedges, Eats Everything, Gorgon City, and Ejeca.
