Billion-streamed, multi-platinum artist Martin Jensen has been announced as a judge for the 2020 series of The  X Factor in his native Denmark, making him the first ever DJ/ producer to hold the esteemed position, as well as the youngest judge the show has ever invited, in an exciting move for 2020 into 2021.

With the shows finale watched by the majority of Denmark viewed by millions of people last year, and now entering its 14th season, Martin Jensen will be joining fellow Danes hitmaker Oh Land and Award-winning Jazz musician Thomas Blachman, as Denmark’s most notable international artist will bring his pop-ready ear, eye for talent and years of industry experience to the forefront of the show. With an international presence felt globally and one of Denmark’s most high-profile musical exports of the past decade, responsible for hits including ‘All I Wanna Do’,  ‘Nobody’ with James Arthur – an international XFactor winner and #1 star in his own right – and to co-writing hits with The Vamps, as well as collaborating with US superstar Jason Derulo; there seems no genre that Jensen can’t bless with his infectious positivity and Midas Touch.

From performing at London’s iconic Webley Stadium to over 70,000 people, to the mainstage of the World’s Biggest music Festival Tomorrowland in Belgium and landing a coveted placement in the DJ Mag Top 100 DJ’s Poll, charting the planet’s best, with him currently standing at #45, Martin is excited to bring his wealth of knowledge and personal investment to mentor the auditionees and artists, as a dazzling achievement he is eager to dive into.

Speaking on the experience Martin said: “It’s an amazing feeling to be part of this year’s X Factor that has created so many amazing artists and musicians over the years, not only in Denmark but worldwide. To be a guide and mentor for the self-taught artists out there who want to break into the industry is something I hope to give a fresh perspective on as I was in their shoes one day too, and the music industry can be a daunting place but I really want to open doors for the next generation of talent and our next X Factor superstar!”.

The new ‘X Factor’ season premieres in January 2021 on TV 2 in Denmark and clips will also be available shortly after broadcast via YouTube international.
