Home’ the debut EP from Delaines, the British duo consisting of Flashmob and Toolroom’s Delgado and ‘Morph Records’ Lloyd Haines dropped on June 26th on New York imprint ‘Street King Records’.

Known for their vocal infused, soulful jackin’ house and minimal productions the pair have showcased a string of chart-worthy releases since uniting in January 2020, this latest release certainly follows a very impressive suit. The rousing EP opens with ‘Home’ an uplifting, melodic house track fused with Haines’ inspirative vocals, perfect listening for these long summer days and nights. The second track,  ‘Wontchaaa’ packs a real punch; heavy basslines flirt with offbeat kickdrums and heightening synths, an enticing female vocal overlays the track and is a true coalesce of every chord.

Talking about the production of the new release, Haines explains “The Home EP was a great project for our debut EP. The day we sat in D’s studio was a vibe. We always gel but this day was like no other. The chords, the drum rolls, the drops, the progression of the build and the vocals.  We were determined to get the concept down in one go so we stayed all day and night to get it nailed down and I really think the positive energy and determination shines through in the release”.

The EP perfectly demonstrates how the collaborative duo expertly blend the solo skills they have developed over the years;  between them, they hold releases on labels spanning from the States to the UK, the synergy of their collaboration previously reflected in past productions such as  ‘Something In Me’ which reached the top 30 in the Tech House Traxsource chart alongside names such as Carl Cox, Fisher and Riva Starr.

In addition to the release of ‘Home’ both Haines and Delgado are currently busy working on their individual ventures. Last month Haines dropped ‘Good Morning B’ the debut release on his label ‘Haines House’, the track received global airplay on stations including Radio Raheem in Italy and Ibiza Global Radio. Although Haines’ summer performances including a set at the legendary Hideout Festival have been postponed due to the current global pandemic, this turn of events allows the young talent to concentrate fully on his debut album which is due to drop later in the year.

Delgado holds three decades of impressive contributions to house music and still has his finger firmly placed on the dance music scene pulse. One of the industry’s most respected producers he has held residencies at iconic global establishments such as MOS, DC10 and Amnesia to name a few. His productions often peaking the top 10 across Beatport charts with his music championed by names such as Fatboy Slim, Kenny Dope and Roger Sanchez to name a few. Managing no less than seven record labels including the currently Jack House scene dominating ‘Monkey Junk’. Delgado’s presence continues to make waves for music lovers.
