This fall, Dr. Shiver released his soulful, funky single “Something” featuring vocals by Kazi. The track was engineered to have a raw, authentic sound reminiscent of a live blues club, and now Dr. Shiver is bringing the vibe to life with the official live version of “Something.” The producer brought twelve of Italy‘s most talented musicians together to record the acoustic version of the track, which is complete with electric guitar riffs, piano melodies and groovy percussion.
The tribe of musicians recorded a video performance of them rocking out to “Something” during a marathon 24-hour studio session, and the result is a nostalgic tribute to the music videos of rock’n’roll’s heyday. The live version of “Something” is out on Protocol Recordings, the dynamic and ever-evolving imprint founded by Nicky Romero.
