Until now, MixCloud was seen as an alternative to the famous SoundCloud. However, it looks like things are about to change, seeing as the service has just announced that it has signed a licensing deal with none other than Warner Music Group. This deal will allow MixCloud access to the label’s massive catalog, which includes many amazing artists, going from Ed Sheeran and David Guetta to Rita Ora, Coldplay and more.
However, it looks like this is not all for the service, because there are rumors that MixCloud is also in talks with Sony and Universal, to sign the same kind of deal also. If that were to happen, MixCloud would definitely become a force to be reckon with. But it remains to be seen what will happen in the future. For now, congrats to those over at MixCloud for their huge deal!
