French label giant Scorpio Music presents a superb remix package for Asha feat. Loyal & Sigourney K’s LØVE, made up of the three winning entries from their recent remix competition in association with creative marketing platform WAVO. With a range of flavours amongst the winners, they’ve unearthed some serious talent for the future.

The strong male and female vocals and satisfying melodies of the original have made for great ammunition for these four skilled producers. The only stipulations in the remix brief were that that the remix run at over 100BPM, be under four minutes in length and not include any additional uncleared samples.

Poland’s Discotek opts for a chugging, slo-mo house feel, driven by a rugged electro bassline, rousing drum builds and euphoric vocal cuts. Russia’s Joinnus ups the tempo for a chunky piano-led houser, with shuffling percussion and a pleasingly plump bassline. NjusN rounds things off with a beautifully mellow version, with spacious beats and teasing builds, letting the vocals taken centre stage.

Bordeaux’s NAMTO wasn’t one of the winners, but keeps you guessing with his chameleon-like remix of Asha’s LØVE. Twisting between reggaeton rhythms, trap vocals, hip-hop beats and tropical melody effortlessly, he wrapped them all up in very impressive way, with his next level production skills.

All remixes are being officially released by Scorpio, with the winners also receiving direct access to the label’s A&R department for advice, tips and feedback on any other productions for a further three months. It’s all part of the label’s commitment to discovering and supporting new talent.
