SoundCloud has hit some bumps in the road recently, when it shut down two of its offices and fired about 40% of its staff. After these news were revealed, there were some rumors going around about the fact that the service only had enough money to last 50 more days. However, according to SoundCloud’s CEO, Alex Ljung, that is definitely not the case. Not long after Ljung stated that the company was not going anywhere, Chance The Rapper weighed in, saying the same thing as Ljung. Soon after Chance’s tweet, our very own Deadmau5 decided to take to Twitter to share his thoughts on the whole SoundCloud thing and below you can see what he had to say!

After that, I would integrate a Creative Commons liscense for independent labels to seek liscense from its users on a person to person basis

From there, indie artists can then continue to use the platform without being buried by “sponsored content” from whore mongering labels
