Canadian-born, New York-based producer/DJ Gramercy has been a name behind the scenes for a few years now, racking up production credits for the likes of Nicki Minaj, David Guetta and plenty more. He’s also turned his hand to remixes for Empire of the Sun, Emeli Sandé and one of the most streamed artists on Earth, Seeb.
Now, this incredible talent is turning his hand to his own artist project. Inspiringly individual and with a forward-thinking approach, Gramercy’s music aims to create something new in the dance world. With a washed out, immersive feel, his builds are inspired by the lo-fi synthesized sounds of early electronic house. This contrasted with engaging, energetic drops, showcase Gramercy’s ability to take on the dance floor and spaces beyond.
With just his third single, Unbelievable Love released via Spinnin’ Deep, Gramercy underlines his production maturity. With the help of an amazing vocal performance from Penguin Prison, he has turned out a record that has elements of the familiar but underpinned with a fresh production style. Unbelievable Love brings a brooding and distinctively moody tone, yet is uplifting and primed for club play at the same time.
This is the next chapter in the story of a producer moulding classic house music into his own unbelievable sonic shapes.
