Collaborating with American Idol season five alum, Elliot Yamin, San Jose based producer, Sanjoy combined that Bollywood vibe with a dance flow in his new single, “OBVI,” a song that expresses the moment of falling in love at first sight. With Sanjoy’s signature sound, he blended unique Indian elements and instrumentals that entice an electric rhythm with a pop flavor to capture the feelings of love.
With the new version of OBVI, that was released a few days ago, Sanjoy is taking a new path in his musical career. The ethnic bass remix is all about using influences from his home in Bangladesh and is an incredible new direction for the music scene to go in. Sanjoy’s success is largely to do with sticking to his roots and presenting those sounds in a subtle way to the masses and the inception of the ethnic bass genre is a testament to that.
