Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, who in the last year alone have had two No. 1 hits on Billboard’s Dance Club Songs Chart, have created HANS ZIMMER VS DIMITRI VEGAS & LIKE MIKE ‘HE’S A PIRATE’, which is the sole bonus track on the upcoming digital version of the soundtrack for PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: DEADMEN TELL NO TALES, set for release on Walt Disney Records on May 26.
The track is a re-record of Zimmer’s theme that is ubiquitous in all the Pirates’ films, and gives the track a DVLM edge that can bring it right onto dancefloors worldwide. Disney execs, who had previously worked with DVLM when Dimitri voiced the character of ‘Fred’ in Big Hero Six, came to them with the idea for the track.
